Every dollar you give to RMC is worth so much more to our community. By leveraging construction industry contacts for material discounts and volunteer groups for labor, Rebuilding Mid-Columbia provides a positive return on investment for the community.

Our dedicated volunteers serve side-by-side with their family, friends and neighbors to rebuild, revitalize and strengthen the neighborhoods and communities of the Mid-Columbia region.

Be a part of revitalizing and strengthening our community.

Your Gift in Action:

Accessibility Ramps: $2500
– Approximately 70 percent of RMC’s efforts assist homeowners that are aged 60 or older. One out of three seniors experience a major fall each year, and those falls often cause broken bones and/or head injuries that make independent life increasingly difficult. Rebuilding Mid-Columbia regularly installs accessibility ramps in our clients homes—a significant preventative effort encouraged by medical professionals everywhere.

Appliances: $500 – The homes we work in often lack range hoods, which are essential for proper venting of carbon monoxide. We also frequently see gas leaking from stoves and hot water tanks. As we seal air leaks around the home through our weatherization efforts, leaking gas must be eliminated to insure safety.

Windows & Doors: $250 –  The windows and doors in aging structures are often inoperable and significant drafts can cause energy bills to skyrocket. A new door or double-pane window serves as both an energy saver and enhanced security for families.

Screen Doors: $100 – Replacing a worn, rusted screen door that may have torn screens and a broken lock with a new security screen door is an important element for our homeowners’ safety and security. Because the average income of homeowners served by RMC is $1,025 per month, this screen door is unlikely to be purchased without our help.

Grab Bars & Handrails: $50 – As a major preventative measure against falls, RMC installs Grab Bars and Handrails in many places within a home.
